Media flow meter/controller "Flow-6"
Mold media flow monitoring/control can be done with this one unit.
The temperature changes in the mold begin with blockages in the invisible medium circulation circuit. The blockages that form within the circuit create heat spots in parts of the mold cavity, leading to defects. Furthermore, in an offline, unmanned environment, there is a risk of mass-producing defective products. Additionally, it is very difficult to detect partial blockages or flow reductions using temperature or pressure sensors. Flow-6 is installed within the clamping unit of the molding machine to enhance flow monitoring responsiveness and reduce energy loss due to heat dissipation, effectively suppressing the formation of defective products. The flow control type achieves a uniform mold temperature distribution by continuously controlling the flow through proportional solenoid valves installed in each channel. By connecting through Gate-6 and OPC UA, remote monitoring and temperature control of Thermo-5 and 6, as well as flow control based on actual measured values close to the mold, can be performed.
